Says on their website that it isn't for container gardening.
I personally have had success with their potting mix tho. (kinda strong for seedlings and clones...flush well first)
Keep in mind that there's about a month's supply of nutes in the mix, so be careful with overfertilizing the youngsters.
I am using the Miracle Grow Organic Mix now. I have been using it since my first transplant. I just recently changed to FoxFarm Ocean Forest for flowering. I never had a problem with it. I also added earthworm castings and bat guano to the mix. Never had a problem. I wouldnt use it on seedlings. Too many ferts for the lil guys. I would use it on your first transplant. And definently go 50/50 with the perelite.Quote:

Good Luck, If you have anyother Q's about it lemme know. Ill be happy to answer!
While I would not use it STRAIGHT for container gardening, after the plants are old enough to be fertilized, a potting mix of ~60-70% MG Organic + ~30-40% perlite would give you a fine mix, similar to promix but a bit 'hotter'. Treat it sorta like FFOF and go easy on the nutes until you are sure that your plants can take it all. I've played with it a bit and have not particular complaints as long as you don't use it for seedlings, add perlite, and remember to re-pot ever 6 weeks.
Thanks everybody, I am learning so much. Been smoking for bout 18 yrs. and this is the first time i am attempting to grow. Why did I wait so long?
Evidence would suggest you are a procrastinator? :DQuote:

I totaly agree with the "over paying". If you think about it you will save hundreds of dollars if you just have the patience:jointsmile: And look on the bright side, you can start makin your money back. :D I would stick to very close friends and people you can trust if you do. ;)

i use the mg o i have it mixed 50/50 half peatmoss and half soil.and its in 5 gal buckets:thumbsup: works dam good for me.the only prob i had was over watering my seedlings
I used my digital scale and weiged my medium dry, then I watered it til water came out the drain holes, then weighed it wet. Once I felt like the containers felt light I weighed them then watered until they weighed what they weighed wet the first time.Quote:
