need 2nd opinion, I'm thinking bugs!
I'm thinking I might have a pest problem on my 6 wk old babies. I have 12 plants, 11 of them are in the ground & 1 is in a pot, (the 1 in the pot has no signs of problem & it stays outside just like the rest, it's just in a pot.) Its on the lower(new & old)leaves. thers not much to describe, it looks like some thing eating the pigment of the leaf & there appears to be a thin black trail with in the affected area & then browning & then death of leaf so any suggestion on solution & products to help would be appreciated.
Its been raining for the past 4 days off & on so I haven't sprayed for bugs in about a week. I live in the woods & we have lots of bugs down here so I try to spray when I see signs of insects taking over & I use some thing I hook up to the hose & water the veg. garden. I do have some PERMETHRIN 10% that I could use but I thought I read this is a last resort, I may go to home depot & see what I can find.
heres a pic I know its hard to see but maybe you get the idea.
thanks

Neem and DE are safe, but I would avoid using lawn pesticides (read: not labelled for crops meant to be consumed) anywhere near your plants. Also, some lawn products have targeted broadleaf-weed killers in them. FYI.
Those plants look good. That level of insect damage is to be expected outdoors; manually pick off any pests you see, and use your neem lightly after every rainfall.

thx for the info cause I sure dont want a weed killer...
I mainly used the Ortho Max for the surrounding lawn, I did spray my babies but only once, I will use the neem oil & the DE for spot & closer treatment.

I actually looked up the MSDS a couple hours ago lol and found that it is relatively safe; however, I still wouldn't trust it around something I smoke lol!
Look for Pyrethrin products if you want a safe bug spray that breaks down FAST in bright light and you can use really close to harvest.
