Dark/Light?

Ok so I am going to be transplanting my plants into 5gal buckets...., but the buckets are white. Should I paint the buckets black or does it matter. I have heard that roots grow better in the dark?

Any input on this subject is greatly apprecieated.

I used trash bags in my 5gal buckets and drilled 1/2 holes in the bottom then just tore the bag a lil bit drains fine

I take it you used the industrial black bags you get from restaraunts and and fast food places. Or maybe just a few lawn/garden trash bags... Ha...! I can do that.. Easy Cheasy!
