Finish time outdoors is strain dependent. You have to know the strain to say yes or no.
However, cloning outdoors is an almost guaranteed failure. Pests, fungal pathogens, no control over temperature or humidity, and too-bright light are all causes of clone failure... and ALL those things are worries outdoors.
Are clones more delicate then growing from seed or are they just delicate until they have established roots? Are clones more susceptible to the problems you listed?

i believe that once they are rooted, they are relatively as strong as seeds. It is just getting them rooted that is so difficult outside.
