come on now... someone else had to be at the Roo this year!!!
Did you see the lineup? No one went to that shit this year, man.
:p
hahaha.. i hear ya man... i got my ticket for $50 bucks...
BB King, Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson, Raconteurs, Swell Season, Ben Folds, OAR, Robert Randolph, Chris Rock, Phil Lesh, My Morning jacket, Les Claypool, etc....
you can't beat that for $50 bucks man.. not to mention all the "accessories" that can be obtained at an event like that...
Ha ha ;) To be fair, I did see some of the vids from the Pearl Jam show and I would have liked to have seen them. I heard Kanye was a douche to the audience, though. Something about making them wait until 4:30 am and putting on a not so great concert. How'd you manage $50 tickets?
Nothing beats Tool and STS9 from last year. Damn.
I'd of liked to see Metallica and a few others, but really, even in recent years as the Roo strays away from it's jammy non-mainstream roots, the lineup this year was probably the weakest one overall.
I personally can't wait for Rothbury in early July. This monster of a festival looks to seriously give the Roo a run for its money in terms of big midwest festivals. AND it's not balls hot up in Michigan. Widespread Panic, Primus, Thievery Corp, STS9, Mule, Lotus...I could go on all day.
But yeah, in short, Bonnaroo is now, sadly enough, that festival people who either barely listen to the music or college kids with money to spend attend. No thanks.
Man i was gonna go as a volunteer since they refund your 250 dollars after the event, but I just didn't think the line up was worth it. I would have liked to see The Raconteurs but I already saw them once at jazzfest in new orleans this year. Pearl Jam would probably be the only reason I would have gone so it just wasn't worth it overall. One of my friends bought tickets the moment the line up was released though because they thought Led Zeppelin was playing lol. Turns out the band was actually LES Zeppelin. An all girl led zeppelin cover band....sucks for them.
haha that sucks!
Bonnaroo looked pretty weak to me this year
Rothbury looks damn good but you could check out All Good for about half the price and still get the best parts of the lineup (Panic, MMSW, Phil Lesh, Dark Star, etc.)
anyone else headed out to WV for all good?
