Just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who contributes to the wealth of knowledge that is canncom. I am constantly learning more and more with each thread I review. I had first attempted to try and grow a few seedlings to at least tint my thumb a light yellowish/green. The downfall, I started BEFORE I researched all that this site has to offer. I am, BY NO MEANS, anywhere even close to being anything resembling a grow worth noting about or logging... but I wanted to show two pictures (mainly because I just re-found my camera haha) of the difference between learning a thing or two first, or just going ahead blindly. The first picture is a seedling that had been growing for almost one month. Was in pre-nuted soil, 4" clay pot, basically flushed it everytime (instead of efficiently watering it) and it just turned yellow and stopped growing. Great strategy huh? Haha. (has since been transplanted into new soil and container... try to salvage something?)
Second is picture is of one I popped AFTER reading so much shit my head hurts... in a good way. :jointsmile: It's a few days old from germ.
Using Composted Cow manure/Humus and perlite @ 2:1 ratio. Watering about 1/2 cup of water every few days or when visibly needed.
Anyway, still have a LOOOOOOONGGGGG way to go, but things are already off to a MUCH better start. Soil Ph is spot on (thanks Stinky on the Agway soil recommendation! :thumbsup:) So, thanks everyone... even if you haven't help me specifically, you have helped me simply by posting your experiences with others.
P.s. Does anyone else want Oreo's really bad when they are mixing compost and perlite? Looks just like 'em. :stoned:
P.s.s. The brown is stained perlite, not little rocks.
