I just smoke on some herb and forget about my problems..
Depresion is a bitch...

I go outside and sit in the sun, or if it's nighttime or rainy, I go sit under my big lamp with a bowl and talk to the plants. Well, I don't really talk to them, but they cheer me up. So does my silly dog, who always makes me laugh.
I don't typically get too depressed anymore. I've been beat up by life enough to know that it could always be worse, but when I'm feeling a little down and blue I'll vape up a bit of some sativa smoke and sit down with my guitar and write some music.
or Play/talk with my dog. (I've talked to her as if she was a human since I've had her for the last 8 years. So it's not too unusual for me)
or I'll go to the gym and work out...
or I like to go to the Zoo
or I enjoy having open discussions with people in attempts of educating and hopefully, even if it's slight, removing some of the ignorance from this world
Really there's alot of things I will do when I'm depressed but the hardest part when you're feeling down is actually being able to get off your butt to try to make yourself feel better. When you're depressed it's hard to muster together some motivation to improve your state of mind.
edit: I forgot to add this.. this is a big one for me.
working with handicapped children. I love the handicap and feel that they are pure of heart. It makes it hard not to have your spirits uplifted by someone who is happy with what they have. Honestly the most genuine, caring and loving people people I've ever met in my life have been handicapped.
It sounds weird but I strive to become more and more like them everyday. Not their handicap's but rather what they represent as pure, loving, indiscriminate individuals. :hippy:
Do something for someone else. Help a friend or stranger out, volunteer at a food bank, humane society or charity thrift shop, even just play the game at freerice.com and feed someone who needs the food.
Go for a walk in a green place, stoned if possible. Call an old friend. Read a good novel or interesting book of your choice (libraries are free). Write, paint, draw, sculpt. Start a garden (good therapy and food prices will go up). Get a kitten and or puppy. Clean the house. Put on "good" upbeat music- whatever that is for you- middle eastern, reggae, disco....

Creating music, art, reading, thinking and writing are all anti-depressants for me. Hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, being in deep woods, doing nothing, sitting by a river... ummm.... oh yeah
Listening to Journey "Don't Stop Believing," and singing along at the freaking top of my lungs. Please, refrain from asking me why... that shit just does it to me.
Hunting, fishing, Camping, workn on stuff up north, throwing knives.
