9 weeks and still dirty!!
HI all,
I'm hoping you all might have some advice. I quit smoking on 4/7/08 and today 6/7/08 I took a home test and still tested positive. I did use my 1st urine of the morning, which I know is the dirtiest, but I wanted the true result. I'm supposed to take a drug test in 2 weeks, but now I'm scared I'll still be dirty. I could postpone it, but then it will look shady. I am somewhat of a big girl, I've recently gained a lot of weight so I'm assuming that is why I'm still testing dirty. I passed a drug test a couple years ago after 7 weeks, but I was thinner back then. Is there anything I can do to speed up getting it out of my system. I've heard drinking water won't help since thc is fat soluble and water is not. If I start working out everyday real hard will that help break it down? Are there any supplements that might help? I just can not fail this test. Any help is appreciated...thanks.

You can try using metamucil and a high fiber diet. Exercise will help. Just do something thats not too difficult but makes you sweat. Are you observed for the UA?

I was in the same boat! Im 6'1 and 217lbs.. I quit smoking only like 25 days ago and i thought that that may be enough time but of course it wasnt... I just but Quick Fix Synthetic Urine and used it so im waiting to see if it actually did the trick(everyone ive talked to said it works fine and ive read countless customer reviews talking success). But 9 weeks and still dirty!? I would say just jog/excersize as much as you can, drink water(not tons), buy a home test a few days before the date and see what it says.. If your positive still, get a substitute(synthetic, or friend whos clean) but you should probably be fine with that much time!

I thought I would be fine with that much time, but it's been 9 weeks and I'm still dirty. I figure I have to be close, but I just don't understand how this is happening. Whoever says it's only 30 days is stupid. Maybe for some people, but never for me. I failed a test after 5 weeks before. I guess I have a VERY slow metabolism. This totally sucks. Let me know how the synthetic urine works out for you. I might have to do that.

Here's what I would recommend doing. Take a B vitamin a few hours in advance. Begin drinking water 24 hours before. Piss right before you leave. Here's why:
Begin drinking water something like 24 hours before the test. Your urine should be clear - this is what you want. Clear urine means less metabolites per unit.
If you are drinking enough water you should take a piss right before you leave for the test. This will clear out any metabolites that have been collecting. Believe me, I have been tested before. The nervousness alone makes me piss like a racehorse. (For the record, I always passed:jointsmile:)
Now they probably wouldn't like to see clear urine, so I recommend buying a small bottle of B complex. Since your metabolism seems oddly slow, I would say take one the day before. Jot down how long it takes for your urine to yellow. In fact, yellow is an understatement, it makes your piss NEON if you're not full of water. Take it before the test.
If you want to go in with full confidence, try the water/pre-piss/B vitamin beforehand with a home test. If you pass the home test, you are good.

There is a sticky for dillution that will help if you want to go that way but it really depends how dirty you are whether dillution is going to work. I would try a trial run with dillution and test yourself to see if its working a couple days before the UA. If it shows clean then if you follow the dillution sticky the morning of the test you'll probably have a real good chance at passing. If you absolutely have to pass then synthetic urine is the way to go. All you have to do is keep the temp right which is easy to do.

Thank you all for your advice. I was thinking synthetic but I've been scared that it won't be the real thing or I will get scammed. Can you all recommend a brand that is reliable? There seem to be so many out there, I'm just not sure who to choose. Thanks again for your help.

I think the biggest supplier is Spectrum Labs Quickfix. I prefer the liquid over the powdered. Be sure and practice keeping the temp between 90 and 100.
