Growing Question
SWIM knows this is probably the wrong place to ask but for some reason the Growing section wouldn't allow me to post a new thread. Question is how long can SWIM go with watering their plants? Going on vacation for like a month and they'd hate to hire someone to do it. Kinda stuck for ideas at this point. SWIM mean they are sorta a low maintainance plant, right?

Growing Question
Outdoors they'd probably survive due to rain and dew. The plant does grow in the wild, after all. However they might not be as healthy as if you took better car of them. Hence you would get less of a harvest. Or they could die... if there is a long time without rain.
Inside, I would think they would die unless you develop some sort of watering system. That should not be hard to do inside though. You can get watering timers and that sort of thing from gardening shops. That is still dangerous though... you have to leave water running, and if something springs a leak, someone notices the flooding, and the police are called... they might discover your grow while trying to stop the leak.
Worst case just poke small holes in the bottom of a water jug with a needle so it drips water very, very slowly. You don't want it coming out fast at all. Then set it next to the plant. A month is a long time... but it might work.

Growing Question
if you could convince 'someone who isn't you' to post some pics, or even just more details about the situation, it would be easier to help.
that being said, maybe some kind of wick set-up would work, no danger of flooding, you just need a big enough reservior (that's where having more details would help)
for example, get a small kiddie pool, fill it with water (or nutrient solution) and put some milk crates in for your plants to sit on.
then, repot your plants, including a wick coming out the bottom of the new pot (place your wick in the pot so that it goes well up into the pot, and old tee-shirts make nice wicks)
then, just dangle the wicks into the water and go do your thing, if you've used a big enough reservior, when you return, your plants will still be alive, lol, maybe, lol
anyway, good luck

Growing Question
I got it figured I think. My bro will do it, as long he can use the plants. I shoulda thought of this earlier, I guess. I never wanted to get into the watering stuff inside the house for some of the earlier points made. I usually take good care of my plants myself. The thought of having my bro water 'em an stuff sorta occured to me but I usually try to work out my problems myself. But this has been a tough one, haha. I was hoping someone had a real easy solution for this without all the related problems but I forgot this is life, I guess sacrifices must be made. lol:rastasmoke:
