Hey!
Just a quick hypothetical question:
If you have everything set up to grow, and have seeds at the same location- but still in their packaging, is that against the law in any way? Itâ??s legal to buy all the equipment and seeds in the UK, so think it should not be illegal to have them all at your house. Then again, having everything set up as if your about to grow (or did previously grow) might be enough evidence to prosecute?

it depends,if theres ANY cannabis at the same location as the grow equipment this is just cause for the confiscation of equipment(grower has exhibited intent to distribute cultivate or otherwise profit from the production of cannabis)...if theres seeds,grow lights hydro equipment in the same place as long as the seeds show no sign of germination i THINK your ok..but i'm not a lawyer...and if the cops were to see all that equipment in one place without a good excuse,i think they'd at least have reason to seize and give the property a right good search...dont forget all a cop needs to do is see someone with growlights enter an address,then SAY they can smell cannabis and that is probibly enough to warrant a search..remember lose lips sink ships!!..always be extra carefull..never tell anyone anything..good luck!
dont forget zeus..taking 20 sacks of compost into a house...smoking a joint while entering a residence...blacked out windows..powerful lights used..cables on floors...unknown person(or)persons entering residence at strange times..strange smells...these are all evidence of growing activites according to the daily mail(and the GMP!!)and are reason to report said activites to crimestoppers,police or neighbourhood watch ..all the police need is suspicious activity(like putting you hands in your pockets as reason to search you)..like i said be very carefull..theres a reason most growers pay cash!!...i'd rather be paranoid than banged up!..so good luck!
edit 99.999% of busts come from growers boasting,stupidity or having a big mouth..only you know whether any applies(hehe)so good luck!!
If it is all set up and ready to roll there is a good chance you may be charged with intent.
Good advice from buttyrekka regarding the need for secrecy.
It's really got to be evidence beyond reasonable doubt so if you sad i was going to grow some tomatos and i feed my budgie expensive f1 hybrid cannabis seeds(legal in the UK) you wouldn't get in any trouble at all. now once the root tips poke out from the shell it's illegal.
Most grow shops sell marijuana seeds alongside grow equipment so it's pretty obvious what it's uses are.
