Police Find $11 Million Worth of Marijuana in Georgia Woods

CHEROKEE, Ga. â?? Acting on a tip, sheriff's deputies in Cherokee County confiscated more than 9,300 marijuana plants in a remote wooded area. Sgt. Jay Baker, a sheriff's spokesman, said the pot was seized Wednesday on land leased by a hunting club.

He said the illegal crop was found growing in two irrigated fields. Investigators also found evidence that someone was watching the plants.

Baker said no arrests were made, but the investigation continues.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, each marijuana plant was worth an estimated $1,200 â?? making the find worth more than $11 million.



Comment: damn, I'd be thrilled to let a plant go for a LOT less than $1200 :wtf:
