I've heard so many good things about plants and music.Anyone tried adding a radio to thier grow room?If so,what were the results?
i think it makes sense.If you were stuck in a room all day,with nothing but a 600w light and electric fans....life would seem pretty boring.But add a little classic rock,and life is so much better...:)
The physical vibrations from the sound will help strengthen the plants, just in the same way blowing air does to give them exercise... but it'd only be a tiny bit with sound unless you had some subs thumping near them!
As for more scientific aspects of sounds affecting plants, such as production of proteins, look up info about a guy named Joel Sternheimer.
All we'd need to know now is what specific frequencies will help cannabis grow...

Nutrients made by Sonic Bloom are even designed to work with sound... hahah that's wild, I'd heard about that line of nutrients but never knew that they intended for sound to be used with it until I just now looked it up.

I read in a high times magazine that certain musics will cause the plants to try to 'get away' from the sounds, and some others won't affect them at all and some others will cause the plants to 'grow towards' the music.
but by the end, the verdict stated that music didn't affect yield in any significant way.:hippy:

:thumbsup: Even if the wave vibration had no effect on the plants strength or final yield in a noticable way, it would still be a cool experiment. Check out the studies on what thoughts and words can do to water. Writing messages on the watering can... things like that. I would even try mounting a small speaker in the box and pump some Pink Floyd through it 12/12. Get them plants thinking about some crazy shiz.
Ah, yes! The power of our mind... intentional thoughts to produce positive energy to be directed at simple things like water or random number generators. experiments in the 1970's suggested plant growth may benefit from soft, restful music, while the other camp leaned towards music with deep, booming bass notes (theorizing the vibrations loosened the soil around the roots) ... regardless, the 'music benefits' idea was pretty well discounted ... I tried leaving a radio talk show on 24/7 ... the plants chose up political sides, started arguing, and trashed the growroom :wtf:
I posted the article on here, but forgot which thread...Ill find the article again though...but certain frequencies will cause the stomata to open much wider...I have kept a little radio in the grow room for about 10yrs now...lol, the experiment was done in the amazon I think, and thats why all the plants there, ferns n such, are so huge compared to other places...they believed it was the birds and insects...so I mess around with music, forrest sounds, ocean sounds even...
