I've been smoking all of last week, all day, everyday. And now as I've totally stopped for a break, I've gotten many of the symptoms of clinical depression. Does anyone have any advice or anything?
It'd really mean a lot, thanks.

Its good that you stopped smoking for a little...marijuana won't cause depression but it can help trigger it. Depression is a trickey thing, its like a drug, people react to it differently. Some people get angry, others sad, and others suicidal. When I start feeling the cold fog of depression descending upon and dimming the flame in my soul all I can do is ride it out and know that it is up to me and only me how i am going to feel in this life.
I wish I could give you real advice, something you can do to make the depression dissapear, but it isn't really that easy. Feelings come and go, and as a human being we can decide what feelings to dwell on or try to push out of our minds. My best advice to you is to keep on truckin, and keep your eyes open for love (it is everywhere and it is beautiful), it is the only thing that can light that flame in your soul again. The world becomes what the mind thinks, focus on the good rather than the bad.
Hope this may help. Good luck.
What kind of strain (indica/sativa) have you been smoking?
My doctor said that smoking marijuana everyday might cause some depression and to not exceed smoking more than 4 times a week unless it is a very chronic illness
do a search on the web
I recently read something about too much marijuana causes depression while, a little use, may actually get rid of it!
Some 60%Sativa/40% indica stuff.Quote:

now if that is truly how you feel, thats a good thing, a good depressed feel will sometimes get me outta the house and out working or such (not many ppl can go to work whenever they want).
If you were some retired dude that doesnt have anything to but sit around and smoke and have a good time, i highly doubt you would get depressed. Cause you would be like, I could be out....... I could be doing...... I could be eating at a denny's!!!!

Well... ive noticed whenever i smoke some indica-ish (>30% indica) weed during a long time, i get a bit depressed... what dont happens when i smoke sativa-ish (>70% sativa) strains, cause they made me feel happy, uplifted and energetic.Quote:

Its all in your head. You control yourself, you cant get rid of clinical depression but you can turn it into what ever feeling you wish. Depression is a stoners stepping stone when smoking weed. Dont be so down, and if you are theres a reason besides the pot.
^What do you mean by "stoner's stepping stone"?
