whats better? a 600w hps and use a conversion mh bulb for veg ...of just get a 400w and switch hps and mh bulbs. for 4-6 sea of green plants in a 4'X'4X7' grow tent. 1000 watt is to much electricity for me and heat. these are lumatek digital ballasts.

I was told by a well respected guy on here, sorry for forgetting your name... my short term memory doesn't exist, that lumatek ballasts tend to not work right. Go with a Galaxy. Besides... who wants something PURPLE in the grow room that's not a bud???? :D

why can you not if you have a digital ballast?
the only diff b/t them is the ignitor for the HPS bulb.... switch the ignitor and you can run MH.... i believe digital ballasts usually come with the switch installed....
are you talking about the mogul adapter?
