QUESTION ON BUDS!!!!!

Hello again, how's everyone? good i hope......
I did some browsing to this forums' picture section and i came up to this thread with the pics showing some indicas on day 13 into 12/12 (link): http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=4373
I am wondering, how come my ladies do not look even near to that picture.....they are females, indicas as well....today i am in day 13 into 12/12 and all i can see is that their female pistils grow larger....i can't see any buds forming yet or anything close to evident flower forming.....is it because the fact that i use soil? maybe is the light not enough i am using? (i use a 400 hps)....these ladies on the fotos are grown in soil?in hydro?does anyone know?

hey newgroweroldsmoker, some plants beef up quicker than others. most of the time it takes 3 weeks before the buds really start to take off. do you have any pics? i'll tell you if they look behind.

THEY MAY BE LIEING BECAUSE THAT LOOKS MORE LIKE 3 WEEKS AT 12/12. IF NOT THEN THEY PROPEBLY HAVE AN AMAZING LIGHT SOURCE AND GOOD VENT. SO JUST WORK WITH WHAT YOU GOT AND DON'T GET EAGER, I'VE GROWN GOOD BUD WITH FLOROS YOU JUST NEED TO CLOSLY MONITER YOUR CONDITIONS.

right from when that seed pops up to your light until u put her at 12/12 is what makes u a better ,quicker budding,more healthy plant.

hi new grower, bspectral is corect, the early stages are very inportent for light, those first 2 to 3 weeks before 12/12 is cryticle, it is during this time that the plant puts on most of its growth, not enough light will make ya plants tall and lankey, and not very bushy, my babys only get a few days of soft light say 150 watts then i wack em under 600 watts for 2 weeks,and then under 1000 watts untill finshed, you can produce good cannabis under a much lower wattage but you will have to have a smaller crop, and it might take a little longer thats all, what strain are you growing mate, i have got pics of mine to show ya but i cant get them on here cos there to big and i dont know how to make them smaller, all the best

i started my growth with feminised seeds from dutch passion.....the strain is called Twilight...it is 100% indica...first 10 days from seed i used incadescents of a total wattage of 150 watts on a 24/7 schedule....then i passed into my 400 hps grolux bulb.....i had 9 plants which i have reduced into 8 due to problems with the soil i used.....the schedule i used for vegetation was the following
week 1:24/7 under 150 watt incadescents.....few bulbs of various wattage
week 2:24/7 under 400 watt hps
week 3:18/6 under 400 watt hps
week 4:17/7 under 400 watt hps
week 5:16/8 under 400 watt hps
week 6:12/12 under 400 watt hps
week 7:12/12 under 400 watt hps (today i am about to finish this week)
week 8:12/12 under 800 watt hps (i ordered one more type of hps special for flowering)

the space i am using is covered with aluminium foil all around, from the dull side though, to get around 70-75% reflection of light from all sides.....i started using a space of 3x3ft with max height of 10-12ft and now my space is around 6x3ft(estimate as i haven't really measured it......the 6x3 could actually be 6x2.5) and within it i have only 8 ladies.....i hope the addition of the second bulb will bring me the so much desired BIG BUDS......as for the guy who posted the fotos stating that he's on day 13 into 12/12, he is definately lying.....i saw some pics that a member over here (surrey B.C.) posted within his album -of ladies in their 3rd week of flowering and i am sure i do fine......i tried to take pics of the tops of the ladies last night but the cam is a cheap one and cannot really focus on so much detail.....if you like to send me the pics my e-mail is [email protected] ....thanx in advance....i will be glad to take a look..... have a nice day :)

PS...the strain i mention above is meant for outdoors but i had contacted the breeder and they said that it's no problem for indoors as well....they even adviced me how to grow it etc.
