Paraphenalia Question

I'm just finishing up a trip through Europe and picked my friend up a piece while I was in Amsterdam. I'm coming back through Newark airport (through customs in other words) and I was assuming because it hadn't been used that it wouldn't be a big deal. I'm also trying to get a hookah pipe through (yeah I'm gonna look great to these people) but again - no illegal substances, no harm, no foul. Am I making the correct assumption here? Does any one know?

considering that you can buy those items here in the states, i'd say you should be ok, especially if they're packed away in your luggage down in the bowels of the cargo hold.

ya, as long as there is no resin in the piece, then you should be fine... its for tobacco smoking, right? ;)
