CFL - n00b in need

So I've been lurking the board for awhile now, and the time has come to creep out of the cracks and post a thread :D
I am a n00b on a tight budget and need to keep it as stealthy as possible. Curious noses have been sniffing the area lately. Though it's my house, I have a roommate who wouldn't be cool with growing, I'm sure. 'Thought I would explain all that before everyone busts on my pathetic setup - LOL!

Since the area is so small, I will be lst-ing this lil' bagseed grow. It's about 5 weeks in. I know it's small. I had it under 2 23watt daylight cfl's 24/0 and it was CRAWLING. So I changed it up and replaced them with two 23watt warm white cfl's 18/6 a week ago and it has doubled in size. You can see that some of it's smaller leaves look chewed on, but for the life of me I could not find any bugs. I cleaned the box and put her in a diff. pot w/ new soil. It's now in a 7 1/2 inch pot with plain ol' black dirt and perlite. No nutes. Temps stay between 80-83 with lights on and about 76 in dark.

ANYWAY - My questions are: Does this look like a chick to you?
Should I start to flower now considering the amount of space I have to work with?

Flower if you want, but i would wait till she has little brown hairs sticking out. she'll be sexually mature then. :D

and get them damn temps down! you think it grows quick now?

but i would def LST and get those little aquariam flouro tubes for those black light holders and attach them to the top of the box.

Nope, no log. This is my first thead. I'm a tad paranoid. I'll try to take better pics tomorrow night. Like I said, she's small and its tricky to get the digi to focus. That and shes so tight its had to get in there. ...with the camera... jeez :eek:

I know the temp is a problem. The box is acutally inside a cabinet under my bathroom sink. If I take it out the temps cool off considerably. This is the fan I use which is located at the top of the box. Thermaltake High Performance Cooler- Silent Wheel - 13CM FAN
I plan on getting a lock on the bathroom door later this week and possibly switching to a rubbermaid box.

well get those temps down.
a better fan to push the cool air in the bottom and the hot air out the top.

mine was under a incandescent for the first week of its life, untill it was handed to me. :)

the more you put in the more you get out.

Sorry I'm a day behind on these pics. I went ahead and put her into 12/12 tonight. I just don't think I'll have enough room if I veg much longer. Does anyone else agree? I also have been struggling with odor dispite her size and location. The whole house smells. So I got a mini carbon air purifier for the bathroom. Hopefully it will help.

LOL, i know how you feel. your plants look healthy and if i understand your question, you're asking if you can flower right now.
if that's your question, i think you maybe ought to wait 1 more week, it takes about 2 months for the plants to be mature enough to flower.
also, investigate topping and pruning. i know your space is limited and that will shorten the plant for you, it will also give you a cutting to save and grow out for the next crop.

Thanks guys. I will wait another week or so I suppose. That air purifier has to go back. It's so loud its more obvious than the smell. I stuck one of those black x-mas tree air fresheners in there and its covering the odor suprisingly well.
