Advice needed on Quad or Six Bulb T5 Fixture ??
Hey guys I'm looking to buy a 2 foot T5 fixture, but I am wondering about a few things.
1. On the quad lamp, they sell and option of having 2 6500K Veg lamps, and 2 3500K Bloom bulbs. Or 4 straight Veg or Bloom.
I was wondering if I should take the Bloom bulbs out when I'm vegging (like the first 2 weeks), or should I leave all the bulbs in for MAX lumens??
Should I just get all Bloom bulbs I have heard this works. And if I go all bloom bulbs will it effect my yield size?
I am also thinking of going to a six bulb fixture, but dont know if I need it if im only growing like 3 plants at a time. (its like $40 more than the quad)
Any advice ya'll can give would help me out. Thanks.

Getting all bloom bulbs will work, but it will affect your veg time and/or yield. Your plants will thrive 2-3 times as much in a blue spectrum (veg lights), then in a red spectrum (bloom lights). I suggest using all veg lights for veg, all bloom lights for bloom, for the biggest yield in the time given.

I know they say use the 6500K or veg and the 3000K for flower or a combination. I experimented trying to get as close of a color as I could to natural light and I used a 4100K through the entire run and had good success.

I have 2 4 feet 8 bulb fixtures I only use for flowering. They have the 3000k Spectralux bulbs. I just use cfl's for vegging. Its been working very well so far.
