Pests under magnification

Hey gang! Bought myself a 60x-100x microscope today and as much fun as I'm having with it, I really should be trying to identify pests! So, what do Spider Mites under a scope actually look like? I checked mine and didn't notice anything moving, but what I DID notice where large white/crystal bubble type objects. Even more odd is that some of these "bubbles" seem to have a singular strand of the same color poking out, like a hair folicle with one hair. These objects are on the top side of the leaves usually clustering near the vein of the leaf. I'm afraid these might be eggs of some sort but I'm not positive. The plant itself is only 5 weeks so I wouldn't think trichromes; but is it possible? Can anyone shed a little 100x light on this sticky situation?
