The quick fix would be good for 18 months. Just take the detox drinks and throw them in the garbage.
I called quick fix with my batch number, the lady on the phone would not tell me when it woulod expire, only that I should check back every 6 months or so. I even had a friend call, and she stonewalled him too. She said it had a shelf life of 2 years, but what good is that, if your test pops up, and your quick fix is out of date??

Yes, very true, when a batch expires, they will exchange it. The problem is, they won't tell you when it expires, untill it is expired, so you could get caught with an old batch by the time your next random comes up, and you won't have the time to exchange it. I bought a couple of extras, for randoms, from eBay, the problem is, spectrum labs customer service will not tell you when it expires. I would feel much more comfortable knowing when it expires, so I know when I need to get some fresh quick fix. I don't understand why they will not tell you, it would just give the customer peace of mind, that's all.Quote:

Ive used Spectrum off/on as my QF source for several years and I've learned not to interact with the phone reps. Not only are they not reliable, but the service seems to suffer from a high rate of turnover.
The shelf life of the QF is 18-24 months, which begins on the manufacturing date of your particular batch (batch code). Do a search of my posts (by clicking on my username) to learn how to decipher the batch code.
Of course, if you are unsure of your QF freshness, you could always test it at home with an integrity strip. The integ strip checks to see that the pH, SG, and creatinine are within acceptable limits.
Do a Google search for drug adulteration test kits.
I had seen your earlier post's regarding QF batch code, but I did not read how you came by the info, so I was trying to confirm with Spectrum, how to decode the batch info. Reading your info, it was not clear to me exactly how the batch code is broken down. For example, the date code on a batch that I used is: f11L-07. I take that to mean it was made 11-07, but I don't see a correlation to the week, I am assuming it is the "L" in my batch code, but I don't understand how that relates to the week it was made.
Can you tell us where you got your info about the batch code from, and a little more detail on how to decipher the batch code?? I would appreciate it, as I like to understand things, not just take anyones word for it, even though you are obviously a knowledgeable source, I would still like to be able to confirm the info through another source. Don't take offense, I am not questioning you, just asking a question, so I can learn more.

Unfortunately, the info regarding the deciphering of the batch code is about as detailed as it gets. The info was provided by the Administrators of the now-defunct urineluck message board, in which I, along with N2, were former regulars of.Quote:

The questions about the batch code were raised back in the fall of '03 when the problems first surfaced with the QF 3.0. The Admins originally advised to "..make sure you have a current batch of the QF before use. Check your batch code to see how current your batch is... ". After a question was asked about cracking the code, the admins dedicated an entire thread on deciphering the batch code. According to the Admins, the first digit bore no relevant meaning but the second digit denoted the month, the third digit denoted the week, and the fourth & fifth digits (03) denoted the year. Shortly thereafter, Spectrum would recall all QF 3.0 batches regardless of batch code, replacing with the 4.0. The translation of the batch numbers remained the same though, according to the Admins.
Your "L" code on your QF has thrown me a curve ball. Every batch that Ive owned and/or tested always had an A, B, C, or D as the third digit. Makes sense since theres 4 weeks to a month.
I wouldnt worry too much about the week it was made, just the month and year.
And like Ive advised earlier, test your QF batch with an integ strip if you have any doubts.
