Germination and incubation
Heya.
I've tried to grow a few times, but my attempts have been fruitless, as my plants have died once they were about 6 inches tall.
It was my fault mostly. Either overwater, over firtilizing, and once a raccoon ate them.
So this time, I am embarking with as much knowlege as possible.
I do have a few questions that i hope, in all of your infinite wisdom, you might answer.
1) How long does it take to germinate seeds in a damp paper towel on average?
2) The florida sun that my plants are exposed to is brutal. Should i put a screen over the plants to make sure they arnt burnt?
3) Should I use estrogen pills mixed in with the water when the female plants are older? (i am killing the males once they are old enough to sex)
Thank you for your time,
-Bear
Germination and incubation
You need to find a complete growguide, dude.
Germination and incubation
1) Usually takes about 2-3 days for me, with an occasional one cracking the shell no earlier than Day 5. After that, I give up on them.
2) Don't worry about the amount of sun that the plants get, as they'll gladly eat up every bit of light they can. Instead, make sure that the hot Florida sun doesn't allow the soil to get too dry.
3) Estrogen is a human hormone... not a plant hormone! It won't make your plants more 'girlie', and the buds may just make you sprout a pair of breasts after you've smoked them! (j/k ) Seriously, leave the estrogen out of the mix. It, in no way, will influence sex in these plants.
Germination and incubation
the only thing that seems to make sense (seeing as to how the plants were about 6 inches tall) is that they died from lack of water. and in florida, that seems VERY plausible. make sure they drink up!
