hydro to soil transplant
Hi guys,
Im about to transplant my babies from strait perlite into soil with lime and perlite mixed through. Im just wondering if there was anything i should know, like should i rinse off all the roots and get rid of the old perlite or can i just get most of it off ?
Any advice would be good

hydro to soil transplant
ok so i just transplanted one of the plants into a soil and perlite mix 25/75% and watered with tap water and 1/4 strenght canna flora nutes at a ph of 6.5. The runoff is 7.1 but i will deal with that at a later date. I gave it a fairly good water and now its under the least brightest part of my 400w hps.
Does anyone know of some symptoms of transplant stress i should watch for as im only gonna transplant the others once i know this one is sweet. Will i know within 24 hours ?
Peace

hydro to soil transplant
If you did any root damage during the transition, it won't take long to notice the drooping stems and leaves. (severe moisture loss)
Wish I would have seen your post sooner...there's Bonsai info sites that could have helped guide you on gently packing soil between the roots using the eraser-end of a pencil or a chopstick, root spread and placement...things like that. Oh well. Perhaps next time.
Pine Garden Bonsai (for example...)
Good luck. Let us know what happened. I figured it might be possible to switch from Hydro to soil, but never heard of anyone actually doing it.
