Please help!!!
Hello all
This is my first attempt at growing. I am growing indoors under 4 cfls 100 watt daylight and 1 100w soft white. I came home to find all 4 of my plants looking like this. The leaves are lighter green in some spots and dry and brittle. What did i do wrong? can I save them?
the space is staying around 80 degrees. I am doing 18/6 light schedule and water every other day

How close are you keeping your lights to the leaves? Where any of the CFLs actually touching them at some point? They look like they've actually been burned.
If you're sure it wasn't the lights burning the leaves, fill out the Troubleshooting Form. That helps a TON when trying to diagnose sick plants.

They are indoor grow
under 5cfls about 2" from the top of the plants 18/6 light schedule
one directly over each plant and one in the center of the box at the same height
I made the mistake of planting in miraclegro potting soil (would moving to bigger pots with better soil be a good idea)?
They have a layer of gravel in the bottom of each pot
the box they are in is 18" wide 16" deep and 4 1/2 feet tall
I am running a fan inside the box
water every other day with tapwater that sits out over night first
They are approx 3 1/2 weeks old grown from bag seed
No idea on PH and no fert was added due to the soil
I do have one possible idea about what happened. I had the fan on a high speed blowing directly on the plants and they seemed to be very dry when i checked them. Could it be possible that the fan dried everything out so bad that the leaves got that way?

Yeah. Point the fans away from the plants. The air will still move, but dessication won't be as likely. That's your issue.

Do you think these plants will survive?

They'll be fine. Be nice to them.
