? about random UA at a job

I'm going to be using the substitution method with QF in mid may.

When i signed the application it indicated they will do this UA and possibly random drug testing while i'm employed this summer as a college student.

What is the procedure for random ua's at a job?

do they ask you to go to that restroom that very second? or do they ask you to go to a lab within a certain amount of days, or timeframe (hours)?


If it depends on the job, please give me a few of your experiences with random job ua's.

i have similar questions.. hope you get some answers soon.. i am baoutt o start a new job... i passed my prescreen.. and now there are randoms.. i want to know how the randoms work.. and i am also interested if anyone thinks it is possible to smoke a j or friday afternoons and be clean by mondoy (at at least in your trials.. how long does it take from one smoke.. i know everyone is differnt.. but it gives you a rough idea.. i have my at home test strips ready!!!

Randoms vary depending on where you work. Larger companies sometimes hire a drug tech to come to the building and test there others send you to a regular lab.

Maybe in a factory or a similar kind of work?

Newbie on the board as well but with a recent company merger I am subject to randoms now and lucky me I was one of the first persons picked. My experience is in another post. I work for a very large corp and our company policy is once notified you have 48 hours to test at an offsite lab.

Even if they want you to march into a room and take the UA, remember not everyone can piss on command so if you need some time to heat the sub you can have it in a pocket and use the heatstrip to get it up to temp.

when i worked for a fortune 500 company for my pre-employment test i had 5 hours to take the test. They mapquested a location for me and sent me on my way....

I THink if you had 5 hours you could easily use substituiton. Or dillution. just start slamming water.

I work for a large waste company which is a fortune 200 company. What they do is if your picked for a random they will have you clock in and then either send you to the lab or a supervisor will take you to the lab. I always walk in to work every day with my quickfix in my pocket. Like my american express card I never leave home without it. If they don't send me after I get to work then there not going to because they won't let you work till you go take the test so it has to happen when I get there and before I hit the shop floor to work.

That is my plan for this summer now.
i'm now confident i will have a good job this summer
