I currently have a large areated, constant cirrculating d.w.c. system with sod. and hal. lighting and c02 on a burst timer....Does anyone know if you would bennifit from injecting c02 directly into the growing tubs, or whould the highly areated water defeat the purpose.....or do plants only process c02 via. foilage?.:smokin:
definitely run an airstone in every container, it makes a world of difference :thumbsup: ... I won't pretend to know for sure, but I 'think' the plant gets its CO2 thru the leaves, exclusively ... it 'may' even disrupt the plant's oxygen uptake thru the roots, by displacing the oxygen with CO2 ... TIP: CO2 will only make a positive difference, IF everything else is 'spot-on perfect' (it gives the least amount of improvement, of things you can do) ... since I am in a small (2'x4'x7') cabinet, my bottle of sugar, yeast and water probably emits enough to help a tiny bit ... you won't see BIG differences with CO2 ... :smokin:
Thanks for the response...the only one so far, I guess you have to be here awhile to get more response....Have you checked your c02 levels ?, I think the normal is around 2200ppm for optimum growth. I have seen incredible results in both veg. and bloom stages, and i'm not even close to having the ultimate grow yet. Thanks for the advise on oxygen disruption when mixing with c02, I thought it sounded a little risky, but I figured i'd throw the idea out there anyway. Thanks again.....:jointsmile:
Adding CO2 to your WATER will drop the pH precipitously.
Remember, ROOTS like oxygen. LEAVES like CO2.

Thanks for the info I don't know if this might be of intrest to you or not, again i,m using 35 gal. tubs, a circullator fitting on my submersible and 2 of the expensive ceramic air stones for 6 plants. I started getting a snotty slimey looking substance on my roots and I couldn't figure out what it was, 1 year later the only thing I come up with is the europonic hydro fertilizer....mabey a bad batch?, or this might be a problem with the new d.w.c. systems. Anyway thought you could use the input.....Thanks again.:jointsmile:
