Anyone ever called the HR dept and asked their policy on testing?
so i've seen lists that seem horribly out of date, or even worse,
like they are only put on a website to direct you to a product to buy, that supposedly should be letting you know if a company
tests or not.
i've been thinking about chain stores, bigger companies etc,
if the human resources department would give you information.
they seem to list it on the application.
but last year i worked at a blockbuster video, application said
something about testing and they never did.
was thinking , call another location ( or several ) than the one you would apply at,
and see what their policy is for pre employment drug testing.
could leave it at that. or mention that you have add or whatever.
seems like something they would have to be straight forward about.
thanks for any insight.

I wouldn't call and just straight out ask. I would call saying you're interested in a job and were curious what the process is after the interview process. List several things and somewhere scrambled in there throw in drug testing.
This will not make it so obvious, instead it would seem like you're going through the standard list that happens at most companies.
Good luck.

Best bet would be to find someone that works there. Chances are the company will tell you one way or another that there are random tests, but many companies never actually do them. Find an employee who you can ask about life at that company, and like the previous post, interweave the dtest question smoothly.
