Hey guys, just started my first microcab grow 12 days ago with Lowryder and I was expecting it to determine sex at 20+ day but I see 2 extremely small paired needle looking -green- protrusions above the first 2 leaves (not cotyledons) on every side (4 total sides) of the stalk. Sorry for being such a noob but what does this determine if anything? Thanks -MK
I think what you're referring to are the new leaves that are coming in. Pic?
The way I wrote this it actually sounds like I could be refering to just new leaves forming but the plant has already formed much more leaves higher than where the pairs of needle looking things are at. I would take pictures but my shitty camera wouldnt be able to capture the tiny needles at all.
Those are the stipules. They are not sex indicators.

I'm guessing you are talking about the two little "spikes" that grow on either side of the branches.
Is it even possible to sex a plant without going into flowering? I started flowering 4 days ago and I think I see some pistils coming out the top on some of the plants. Although, I'm not sure if they are pistils or more leaves at this point. I'm sure I'll know for sure in a week though.
dunno... I got a couple of plants that are 30 inches tall and they have not started showing sex yet.
