This 3 week old flower is on a 2 1/2 month old plant which has had nothing but fluorescent light in a closet. It's in the cheapest soil I could find, in an empty 5 liter water container with holes cut in the bottom. I threw a few plant food spikes in the container, but I'm honestly not sure what they were because my French is not great, and the label was in French. I started using a teensy bit of plant food after the flowering began, but I don't want to overdo it. (I can't read that label either). I really should make more of an effort to learn French. Nonetheless, I think this photo says it all. Growing grass doesn't have to be complicated or expensive.

Sure, it doesn't, you're right. But if you put in more effort and give your plants good quality fertilizer, you DO get a bigger and better reward at the end of the day
Anyways, your plant looks great :) Give it some bloom ferts though, trust me, it will be even better!
Thanks for your reply! Exactly what nutrients are in "bloom ferts"? The symbols for the elements are the same in French and English, but I can't always understand the rest of the text on the label.
