Using Natural Light Indoors...
I have done some basic reading on growing and I haven't ever seen anyone try and use natural light while indoors. What conditions would be necessary in order to utilize natural light without any use of a bulb?
I know the benefits of using lights include the size of the yield but I personally don't like the idea of keeping light bulbs on for so long during the day. a) it's not necessarily the best thing for your electric bill b) not great for the environment and c) it's also a fire hazard, though greatly reduced due to todays fire safety steps taken by light bulb manufacturers but still.
if this were to work I would assume the area should have lots of direct light from a south facing window. If a greenhouse or sunroom is available those would be preferred so that as much light as possible would be present.
I really would like to know if anyone has tried it and how it went for them. Even if the use lights could be limited by the use of natural light I'd love to know.
Using Natural Light Indoors...
natural light is great, but hard to use indoors. ideally, plants want DIRECT sunlight all day, and a window will only give them 3-8 hours of it (plus couple indirect hours)
ive grown in a window before, and the results were pleasing. however, correct use of HID lamps have given me larger plants that that.

my bathroom is set up like a garden room, big shelves and plenty of sunshine windows facing southwest and i tried this for about two days to keep them in the direct sunlight,it was very tiresome moving them every five to seven minutes, as the earth rotated.
also no b photons. like it would be outdoors.
