How's this?
Ok last year I tried my own grow, but it didn't make it past a month or so because there was a drought the same time I went on vacation (I grow outdoors). I have been contemplating taking a good break from cannabis and concentrating on some other aspects of my life for a while, and I had a stroke of genius(?). I am going to do another outdoor grow, except this time I won't smoke until I can get buds from my plants. This is what I was thinking of doing...
I've researched on getting the seeds strarted and germinating so I plan to do that indoors for 2 or 3 weeks. Then I will move them outside to a safe spot already decided on. From there on, I will let them do their own thing (I will, however, weed out the males) and reep the prizes when harvesting season comes around. So I have a few questions...
If I start my plants indoors early, then move them outdoors, will that make the growing season longer and in term give me a better yield? The way I see it I will already be giving my plants a healthy headstart over the ones I would usually just plant in the ground when it gets warm. I'm hoping that with the added growing time, there will be more product at harvest time...
Secondly, what is the earliest that I can move my plants outdoors? Let's say that I start tomorrow. I was hoping that after they are two weeks old, and hopefully strong enough, I could move them outside. I live in central Indiana and spring is just around the corner. The highs for may are mostly around 60 and lows overnight could get into the low 30's but not constantly.
Your answers and other helpful comments are greatly appreciated.

I dont know about more of a harvest, but YES, you can start your babies indoors and move them outdoors. The best time to move plants outdoors is april/may depending on your area, but low 30's at night isn't going to cut it. Wait a bit more til temps are higher, usually around early may is prime time though, especially if you have started them indoors..
peace.love and luck :)

yeah i wasn't sure about having a bigger yield, but I figured the bigger the plants are by harvest time, the more buds the will have on them. This isn't coming from a plant expert or anything, just common sense. And my family farms so yeah lol
