Local 18.8 Shop Bong with RooR CF/Bowl
Here's my 18.8 bong that I've been using for a while. The downstem has 6 diffuser slits and an open bottom. Just got the RooR carbon filter and bowl today. (RooR glass screen too, fits nicely!)
The bowl's quite the monster, it didn't look so big in the picture. Oh well :stoned. But the carbon filter is amazing. Keeps everything below the carbon filter clean as a whistle so you can same lots of time cleaning. Not to mention gives a great hit for a long time and when it gets kinda nasty you can just empty out and refill. I'm using the metal screen (works way better than glass screen.)
Tell me what'cha think! -Ad-

How much of a difference smoke wise does the carbon filter adapter make? I have a good 18" Graffix bong and was thinking of a carbon filter. :stoned:
Wow I just took a second look at the picture of your bong and your bong is so sick. Holy shit the middle looks awesome.

Awesome ROOR you have there! But I am very against the carbon filter, after a few it gets clouded with resin, I feel like it takes the taste of the bud away, and just is not really needed since you have water. Its just one more place for THC to get stuck to when you want as much of it in your lungs as you can :D
I was smoking out of a ROOR for a while, and after removing the carbon filter I was all about it again...
But sick bong none the less!
peace.love

It gives it a nice clean hit when there clean carbon in there. Iv'e smoked about 10 bowls out of it now and its just starting to get resin on the top of the pellets. When it's dirty it loses a little taste due to resin buildup in the carbon piece, but it does a great job of keeping the rest of the piece clean and taste free.
Also the glass screen in the bowl really helps slow down the resin buildup in the carbon piece. I don't ever snap bowls into it.
It's worth it if your kinda lazy like I am and don't want to have to clean your piece after every session to keep it looking great. Just change the 5g of carbon every few days to a week depending on how much you smoke. 150g of carbon was 9 bucks.

Thanks for the compliments!
I got a couple more pics of me hittin it tonight. It's about as dirty as it ever gets in these pics, it's after like a few ounces going through it lol. The carbon filter rocks, but its filthy now as you can see. I haven't changed it for a couple weeks now but i think its pretty used.
Anyways it never stays this dirty I've just been testing out the effectiveness of the dirty carbon to see how long it will last.

Well I finally couldn't put up with the dirty carbon anymore lol. It lasted me about 2 weeks.
Cleaned it up tonight and put a bud of strawberry kush in there. It's a great smoke through that clean bong!
