My little NL99 plant
This little lady(hopefully) is about 20 days old and showing some spotting on the lower leaves. It was started from seed in paper towels then placed in Jiffy peat pellets under 4ft flouro. Its now in a 6'' pot in Fox Farm Light Warrior soil. I noticed the spotting when it was still in the peat pellets. Could the spots be from the peat or is it ready for nutes now? Thanks for any advice :)

i'd say it's time to start a very very light nute.. like 1/2 of the lowest recommended dosage. I've never used peat pellets so i wouldn't be able to tell you if that spotting is from the peat, I wouldn't imagine it is...
Are you pH balancing your water?

I think you may be better using tap water that is unfiltered. Tap water usually contains Mg and Ca that are beneficial to plants and your filter will remove these. You then have to use a micronutrient that has them in. In soil you wanna try and get your ph down to 6.7 for the best nutrient availability. A tip - Don't use malt vinegar to PH your tap water. It changes the ph but over a few days your ph will rise up to whatever it was in the first place. Get some Ph up from the grow shop (Phosphoric acid) or try using Real vinegar (Acetic acid)

Hey Wobster thanks for the advice! I use Fox Farm Grow Big and I have CalMag also if any Ca or Mg problems arise, I haven't fed it anything yet though. I'll try using the tap water without the filter and see what happens. And for Ph I have up and down adjusters from a hydroponic store

It seems to be getting worse. I'm going to try giving it some Fox Farm Grow Big today. What you think 1/4 tsp. in a gallon of water? Ph 6.7 or so sound ok? This is my first grow with quality genetics and I really dont want to mess this up. Thanks:jointsmile:

Maybe I'm just always going to have problems, it just seems inevitable. Every grow I've had has had some sort of problem. What's the opposite of greenthumb? :(
