When I mixup a solution of H2O2 and water the Ph lowers to 3.2.
Should I bring up Ph to normal levels 5.2-6.0 or should I leave it at 3.2?
Will H2O2 solution work if Ph is raised?

Yes raise it.
Also, 5.2 is a bit low for hydro setups.. keep your ph more in the 5.8-6.2 range.
What kind of H202 solution are you talking about? Doesn't really change my ph when I add it to my rez.
chemist bought 3% H202 mixed at 10ml per Liter
I got the dosing for liquid Oxygen By growth tec (17% h2o2) dosage 2ml per liter and multiplyed the dose by 5 (seeing as the chemist bought H2O2 is 3% 5 times weaker than Liquid Oxygen)
I dont know if that right but i think I'll balance the Ph and apply it to the roots of one plant to see how it goes.
I use the 35% solution(food grade). It doesn't affect my ph though. Double check again to be certain you get 3.2. I have no clue how H2O2 reduced your ph that much.
Your dosing sounds high.....of the 3% I generally will use 10ml/gallon.
Thanks for the help
I twice got a 3.2ph reading when adding H2O2.
When I recalibrated with Ph7 buffer/calibration fliud it showed 7.1 then i pressed calibration and it reset to ph 7.
I then checked with Ph 4 buffer/ calibration fluid. it read 4.3 then I pressed calibration and it reset to ph4.
When I re-checked the H2O2 solution it read Ph 6.8
Considering how little off calibrated my Ph tester was (it read ph 7.1 when it should have been ph 7) I don't how it could have given me a reading of Ph 3.2 for the H2O2 solution before and Ph 6,8 after:wtf:
Maybe the bateries need changing!
Anyway It seems ok for now.:)
a couple of other questions.
How long does the oxidising effect of H2O2 last in the solution?
Does one have to add more every day to keep oxidizing effect?
grey1223 How many ml per liter or gallon do you use with your 35% H2O2.?
I use 2ml/gallon with the 35%.....use carefully cause that's strong stuff. I would DEFINITELY wonder why your ph would change so drastically when adding it.....hmmmmm.
I've heard it lasts about 24 hours....but I've personally seen the effect hang on longer depending on air circulation etc....
Good luck.
According to your dosing of your 35% H2O2 solution of 2ml per gallon .
Therfore to have same strength solution using 3% H2O2 one should use 23ml per gallon (35 divided by 3 =11.66666 x 2ml) If I'm not mistaken!
here is a link on what growth technology say on the subject.

As i understand it your 2ml/gallon dose of 35% H2O2 is a good maintainace dose.
For killing infection already there, a dose of 8ml/gallon(35%H2O2) should be the one to use.
I think:wtf:
I get my instructions from my hydro guy so I parrot them.....if you feel another dose would be appropriate go for it. Just saying......that's the way I was taught to use it.
