how benefitial is it to add uva lighting to an hid setup? i read somewhere that actual thc wont be produced without it...that cant be true cause im still getting high on my buds and i've seen some nice nugs come out of cfl setups too.
im working on ways to increase the yeild i get out of my cabinet, im already producing quality smoke but im looking for small things to add here and there, dwc is on the list but what about uva? and if its feasible where would i obtain one of these lamps??

Have heard of other folks using reptile lamps (uva Reptile Supplies) but have never used them myself.
No, IMHO, they are not necessary, and certain precautions must be observed. (suntan lotion and uv sunglasses, or a cut-off switch that turns it off when you open the cabinet/growroom door)
Specialized UVA bulbs are unnecessary.
I use a combination of HPS, MH, and Daylight spectrum FL to achieve a balanced spectrum in the room.
I do notice more trichome production closer to the MH/FL bulbs.
well considering im a red-head, i think ill steer away from those uva rays!!
