Help! Drug Test at MEPS tomorrow....(military examination processing station)

Ok, so I'm 21, 141 pounds, male, fast metabolism.

I am joining the Army tomorrow and should be swearing in pending passing the "Inspect" at MEPS. They're going to piss test me, and bloodtest me.

A quick little bio of my drug use:
I used to be a chronic user but quit in the summer of 07. Since then I've smoked a few times. Once in October (3 bowls), twice during Thanksgiving weekend (2 bowls total) and then what I am obviously concerned about is Superbowl Weekend...

The superbowl weekend was not just a bowl or 2...I was around my old chronic user friends...and we smoked ALOT. I mean, wake and bake, multiple afternoon sesh's, at night. I dont know if this matters but we smoked in various ways (Volcano, Triple Perc, Blunt, and standard bowls)

Bottomline...I'm trying to determine which category I fall under with my use when deciding how long it took to get out of my system. Like I said, I hadnt smoked in 4 months since I quit (in October) then I waited a full month, smoked once again in Nov...then waited about 2 months and smoked heavily during 4-5 days from January 29th-Feb 3rd.

I'm fairly active, (working out routinely), been drinking a good amount of water, im taking creatine which makes me piss quite a bit, I'm just concerned that because of the heavy usage exactly 1 month ago I wont be clean cuz its not like I took a few puffs, or smoked a bowl or 2...we smoked alot. So does that 4-5 day period make me a "chronic" user and am I on the border with it being 30 days later?

I apologise...this was really long but as you can see Im really worried...If I fail I have to wait 6 months till I can try and join again...this would literally ruin my life.

You guys would have to be sure that I'm not in the clear for me to call it off tomorrow cuz it would be VERY apparent why and my parents would be super pissed...but the idea of failing is way worse. Am I in the clear?

Its an examined test so theres no fooling the system. I'm confident the blood test will be fine since it lasts only 2 weeks for heavy users?

I'm just really paranoid because about a year ago I failed a drug test after Detoxing my system with that $50 shit and lost a job. I no longer have faith. I sometimes read it can be in your system for up to 60+ days and I dont know what to think. Please help!!! This is a big step in my life.

Oh, and also guys...I heard that its best to not do ANYTHING physical the night before...because if you do your body excretes that fat cells that are in your system and if there IS anything in there...it will show since you just sent it out of them.

I worked out earlier today...I was just abotu to work out again tonight but I hear thats a bad idea, can anyone confirm this?

any recommendation on how much water to drink before? I have to wake up at 4:30AM and will arrive there at approx. 5:45AM. I probably will not test until 10AM-11AM. I'll have a bottle of water with me...but dont know how much ill be able to drink during this period. I dont want it diluted or they could make me come back right?

I smoked regularly, 1-2 grams per day for an entire year straight and had to take a piss test. I did not dilute and used the first void of the day and passed. I had similar weight as you and was fairly active at the time.

Just a basis of comparison but again everyone is different.

You are right though. Do not excercise the day(s) before the test for the reasons you mentioned. And yeah you are also right about detox drinks, as stated in the sticky they are as big a money hungry industry as lab test companies themselves.

I would recommend following the dilution sticky as much as you can and possibly wake up earlier to a lot the right amount of time. But honestly I think after 30 days you should be fine even after your session over superbowl weekend. But I guess given your circumstances I would not chance it.

Try the dilution method as best you can but don't overload too much, make sure you have urinated a few times before your test and i'm sure all will be fine.

thanks man. i appreciate it. it helps to get some more opinions...all point to a negative result on the test but im just so damn worried cuz of what happened to me before.

i havnt gained a pound but fat has been accumilating in my gut a bit (it happens in my family if ur not active) and so i feel like the thc could be stored better than it used to be so ive got all kinds of reasons to be sketch but i cant do anything at this point cept what u recommended. hey there army man. i have to agree and say follow the dillution sticky in the forum and your gravy. me myself i am joining the marines and i know this isnt great to hear but its not six months if you fail your piss test for weed its only 45 days. if you really are worried about it call your recruiter when you wake up and tell him your way to sick to be standing around all day in lines at the station and you can always reschedule. better than pissing hot! best of luck to you bro, WAY TO BE

i hope it would only be 45 days...hes had to wait on me for quite some time with my record an havin to do waivers n all. this sure wouldnt help but im feeling confident this morning,


i gotta say guys...do not, i repeat, do not drink several glasses of water b4 u go to bed,,,ive woken up 4 times now an pissed forrreverrrr...the pain simply will not go away even when im done...wait till the nexy day!!!

To armyman31, based on your profile, and assuming it is accurate, I don't think passing the MEPS urinalysis will be a problem at all for you.

My concern is this; and I am not singling you out, but rather addressing anyone considering entering any branch of the military (full disclosure, I spent many years in the Navy, honorable discharge)... are you really sure you want to enlist?

Nevermind, given present day real world events, the very real possibility of being sent into a hostile environment where your life and limb is at risk every day. I am talking about the fact that military personnel must conduct their personal lives to a much higher standard than civilians.

Simply put, you must forego your use of cannabis (and any illegal drugs) for as long as you wear the uniform. Nevermind that there is a zero tolerance policy that will all but ruin your life if you get caught using illegal drugs while a member of the armed services. Rather, I am talking about an honor code, an oath that you take and that you must live by.

Random urinalysis is conducted all the time in the military, users will get caught eventually if not immediately. I saw it happen time and again and I saw good people discharged (with less than honorable discharges that negatively impacted their civilian lives) for a making a single stupid mistake that they should have known better not to have made.

I am not against cannabis use (would I be on this board otherwise?) and I think our laws about it are unjust. But for all the years I was in, I never once indulged even though I might have wanted to, especially when opportunity presented itself.

Being in the military is not just another job. As your employer, your branch of military does have the right to know almost everything about your private life. How can it be otherwise, when the lives of your fellow soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines may very well depend on you?

Military life is not for everyone and I don't think less of anyone who has done their homework and has come to the conclusion that enlisting is not right for them.

If you're thinking of enlisting, do your homework, talk to current active duty and reserve personnel (not including recruiters), make sure you are enlisting for the right reasons and be fully prepared to live responsibly by all military rules, codes and ethics.

hey armyman i went to meps a few days ago and i passed my physical with only 14 days clean i took a detox drink about an hour before i left to meps as well. still waiting on the results but i passed my test the day before in the recruiters office without the drink i just took it for some security!:rastasmoke:
