I'm from Texas where (i think) Spring has began to show. I know I can start a grow cuz I stumbled across a wild plant in my yard that was very healthy (pulled it out) but the question is....
In order to prevent a huge plant, would I have to start my grow i little later in the season? OR could i start now and not have to worry much??? Not too much of a "biggy" I was just curious...thnx:hippy:
well tha green ghost im right there with ya in the texas climate. Im central texas and i usually begin setting out plants in the middle of April through the beginning of may.
Usually the last frost around here is March 10-13th but its very hard to tell with this unusal tejas weather.
if your starting from clone, like i am, I veg for about 10 days under 24/7then set out around mid june - early july.(for a average indica flowering plant)...

How tall do your plants average when setting them out at that time (mid-April early May)?
well i always planted in 3-5 gallon growbags on account of all the limestone i would have to dig into. So ive had my plants get to about my chest, im 5'9.....but i do a lot of topping to keep them more bushy. genetics will play a roll in this also.
im moving to dallas, would LST do well?
just think if you start your plants a little too early you have frost to worry about in the early month and when you are ready to flower the plants they needs more darkness.. so if your still in a cycle that wont work with the plants your not going to get the plant to bud and finish the way you expected..
my m8 on the east coast had this problem.. lol he wasnt too happy as he got 6 foot tall plants and no time to fully flower the plants ! what a bombfire that was :p
