Saving stems

I have had mixed views on the subject of saving stems. I have heard of people saving them to cook with or making a milk based tea. I had seen a video on the interwebs where this guy had a HUGE pile of stems, and placed them into a (microscreen equipped) shaker jar of some sort. He shook them until his arm seemed to give up... then showed the end product... a huuge pile of what looked like kif. He proceeded to pack it into a bong and rip it. Looked real enough to me to give it a try. I saved stems in a small jar for less than 2 days, periodically shaking them up... then put them in the freezer for 30 minutes to loosen the particles from the jar. I gave it one last serious shaking, and used a small paint brush to gather all that I had collected. After screening it multiple times to get out as much plant matter as possible... I came up with what looks like kif. I know people will say that most (or all?) of it is just stem dust, but I did not cut or grind the stems. They are just stems that were leftover from picking apart buds pre-grindage, and I tossed them in the jar. This was obviously just a small scale experiment, and most would see this as too much effort for such a small result. But if it does cause an effect, it will be apparent to me that I have probably thrown away a few pounds of kif in my smoking career. Haha. I will smoke what is in the picture I posted and repost my descision...
Can harvested stem crystals... get you high? I freaking hope so...

put an ass of stems in a glass mason jar.

cover it in everclear

let sit in dark place for a few months, add more everclear as needed.

Evaporate for hash, or take shots.

A couple months ago I saved all of my stems- not sure how much it weighed but it wasn't that much, maybe a couple grams, and ground them up to make green dragon. I couldn't get my hands on any everclear so I just used 100 proof vodka. I put the ground stems in there and put it in a dark place for a month or so. My friend and I each had 5 shots and it got us surprisingly baked for the whole night considering it was just stems and not that much.

Although, I do notice the potential... I was slightly disappointed in consuming my collection. However, I did just toss it into a bowl and lightly heat it for cherri-fication. Maybe due to my tolerance, such a small amount would have been ineffective anyway, regardless of it being kif from stems, or pure bud pollen. I guess my true test is going to be focusing on a much larger scale experiment, and processing some kind of hash out of it. True stem trichome hash. If anyone has tried this please comment.

Im usually too lazy to be saving the stems, they just go out the window or i chew on them, or just leave them in the ashtray. now im gonna start saving them.

yes some stolii and stems are the makins for some green dragons

Extract and have relatively 80%+ thc leftovers.
Smoke some and you will be walking like the village drunk.
