More lighting questions

This is really a followup from my last post. now i know LED lights are rubbish, well apart from the high end ones. looks like i'll have to go the good old lightbulb road.

i've found two types of lights, which i'd be interested in buying. but i just want abit more advice.

400w HPS MH & HPS Digital Grow Light! - Hydroponics! on eBay, also House Plants, Plants Seeds Bulbs, Garden Plants, Home Garden (end time 27-Feb-08 18:06:15 GMT)

this come comes with 2 bulbs, now i understand one is for veg and one for budding. is this the type of lights i should be looking at, like i said in my other post. i'm extermly new to this. and normally anything i try to grow dies..LOL

600w HPS Dual Spectrum Grow Light! - Hydroponics HID! on eBay, also House Plants, Plants Seeds Bulbs, Garden Plants, Home Garden (end time 27-Feb-08 18:06:16 GMT)
this one is cheaper and uses the same bulb, i take it it's just a dual bulb. is there any benifits from using this system, insted of different bulbs ?


my last questions, i got a 4ft growbulb from my old fishtank. but this be ok for vegging? i orginaly used it for my tank plants. tis only like 3 months old.
