Help...Help....Help please......
I put my 400W Cooltube in vertically, with the exhaust fan after the light. >----tube---light----fan----> I'm I going to have a problem with this? Does the exhaust HAVE to be out of the open end of the tube, without the bulb? It's running right now, so I really need to know. Thanks, Ldy :hippy::yippee:

aww I read it! I'm trying to understand your set-up however.
Fans are much more efficient at pulling air than at pushing air... the exhaust fan is usually placed right at the point of exhaust. From there, it will pull air through your light reflector, out of the garden... btw why did your mount it vertically?

I had to hang it vertically, because my grow box is 2' x 2' X 4'....It's 19" plus reducers and hose...anyway it wouldn't fit. I have passive intake at the bottom, then my tube (but the lamp is at the top of the tube) then my fan going out of the box. I just don't want to fry the wiring where the lamp is in the tube. >--intake--tube---light at the end--exhaust fan and right out of the top of the box. What do you think? Thanks a bunch, Ldy

as I picture this, I don't think you will have an issue with frying anything- now with frying do you mean melting? if there's no contact it shouldn't even if the hood is mounted vertical. A guy I knew had his hood fall (somehow the bulb didn't bust), the light was actually touching his ballast power cord and it still didn't melt though it. It left a mark but nothing else.
