Ok, since a pc case is too small for my grow I have decided to build a grow box. I have got all of the diamentions and things and it is ready to cut out. But, the only thing I cannot think of is how it will stay shut.
I do not really want a lock on it because that would be obvious that theres something there. What else can I use? Please help.
hey dude I have an outdoor cabinet as well and ran into the same problem, I ended up just screwing it shut with screws, nobody ever thought twice about it after that, obviously you would only want to do this if you have a cordless drill handy though, but it really ended up being very simple and quick to open and close... hope this helps
They make those sliding locks, the kind you see on the bathroom stalls when you go into mcdonalds or any gas station. Install one of those at the top and bottom so it is hidden and you would have to feel around to find it.
It will be locked and not look like you're hiding anything. Personally I just use a padlock on mine. I live alone and people shouldn't be trying to go through my stuff anyway.

Sliding locks are what I use. I live alone but often have nieces and cousins and all kinds of kids stay with me (Im the oldest of my generation in my whole family) and I gathered thru experience that if there was a padlock on the door they were bound and determiend to find out what the hell I was keeping secret.

I cover the opening of my cab with thick plastics black sheet, it is 4 milimeters thick, thick enough to keep light out. I just cut a piece to size a little wider tho. I then stapled and duct taped the top, then set up velcro around the edges so the extra black plastic has enough room to wrap around the edge and keep light out:thumbsup:
U can get the black plastic at lowes for like 10$, well worth it, they use the stuff to lay down when painting rooms and stuff so the paint people can help u out, then get some self applicable vecro (industrial strngth) and some duct tape.... Walllaa
