Temperature Questions

Ok, well i've got a urine exam tomorrow and i purchased Magnum's Synthetic Urine from my local headshop. the kit came with premixed synthetic urine and a heat pad.

according to the instructions, since i won't be heating it up in the microwave, i am to attach the heat pad to the bottle with a rubber band for at least an hour prior to using it. this is fine, i have the time for that.

now, i plan on sneaking it in inside one of my socks. i was thinking of wearing two socks for extra insulation. i live in michigan, and it's a bit cold here.

what i'm wondering is, once it gets up to temp, will the insulation from the socks and my own body heat keep the temp where it needs to be? or do i need to keep the heat pad attached to it?

It would probably be better to keep it in your crotch to keep it warm. Its better to be a little warm than a little cold. You might want to swing by a dollar store or some discount store and pickup a couple of extra heating pads to practice a little.

ya, i've been doing some experimenting here and so far, i've found that the sock idea, just isn't gonna work. it'll only go up to 94 degree, whereas if i crotch it, i get a solid 96 degrees with the 98 degree mark showing slightly.

i just hope this stuff works. it's a michigan DoT(department of transportation) physical, so i'm not sure what kind of test it is going to be.

DOT conducts a 5 panel urine screen with a GC/MS to confirm any screen positives. A specimen validity check will also be performed on the urine sample, consisting of checking the pH, creatinine, specific gravity, and excessive nitrites. As long as the product wasnt exposed to direct sunlight, and that it was submitted at the acceptable temp of 90-100 deg, you have nothing to worry.
