grow box, 4 ft sq, 138 watts of cfl, am i in trouble?
i have a grow box thats about 4 square feet with 6 sockets. i have 6 cfl bulbs of 23 watts that produce 1300 lumens each.
anyways, thats 34.5 watts per square foot.
will this be good enough until i flower?
how much would this effect my yield?
or should i return all the lights, get my 42 bucks back and go buy some big ass light at a plant shop?

sounds like it will work for maybe 1-2 plants that are LST and tied down. If this is your first grow that setup will most likely work for you. :twocents:

i was planning on training them. do they require less light if you tie them down?

no they do not require less light. flourescent lights have not so great light penetration so you want to use all the available light you have. training and tying them down will help get your lights closer to your plants and help get into some of the hard to reach spots.....its making the most out of your available light.
