Fried and frozen in need of $40 Fix
Hello all, I have been lurking around here for sometime, just never really posted.Anyway, I have a couple grows under my belt with the first and second harvests being way better than I expected, beginners luck I suppose, one bag seed and one NYC diesel.
I had some troubles controlling temps since the winter really hit. My older girls already in flower were unphased by this but the little ones just couldn't hold up. 2 of them that really got stunned and the only survivors are now in my flowering room under a 400HPS After about 2 months and deciding against trashing them, I threw them in flower and they just took off, one is about a foot tall and the other(my first clone) is about a foot and a half. They have both been in flower for about a month.
I also got a couple seedlings that got stunned from to much heat while getting my vegg room dialed in to about 75.The little ones are about on their 2nd node with very little stretch, very short.Almost a month and they are only about 2 inches tall.
I think I could turn them around and i'd like a little advice on what nuts or supplements I could use to help a stunned plant. I know no nuts on a seedling, but does it matter that these should be much bigger considering their age?
Will the superthrive help me out of my jam? If so how much should I use?
I got $40 extra to spend on nuts and a hydro shop near by.
I have been there once to pick up my superthrive just last week.
I know they have general hydroponics nuts but not to sure what else.
What can I get for around $40(till next payday anyway) to really get some crazy growth out of my girls in flower and little ones now that my conditions are much better?
O yea, this is a soil grow.
thanks in advance
I updated my vegg room and the conditions were to hot for a couple days without my knowlage

Also, I have never really used a foliar spray. Anything you can recommend? I noticed that some use Epsom salts, is this only used when in vegg and when there is Mg deficiency?
Anyone every use superthrive in a Foliar spray(or is that ridiculous and useless)?I did a couple searches but never really noticed any info on when to do this or why it is needed. I think I sprayed my first couple harvests twice with plain spring water threw out their lives and they turned out great.

Get yourself a bottle of Maxicrop liquid seaweed.
It should be under $20 (I pay about $14).
Then go to a feed store and get a bucket of agricultural grade molasses.
It should also be under $20 (I pay about $15 for 4 gallons).
Use both at 1 teaspoon per gallon of water, and water as usual.

Thanks, isn't superthrive liquid seaweed?
Also I have been using grandmas molasses(unsulfured) in my flowering plants and they seem to love it, is it also good to use for vegg?
Is the agricultural grade any better?

Well since you're already doing that part, here's plan b.
Get yourself two boxes of seabird guano.
One box of 12-8-2 for veg, and one box of 1-10-0 for flower.
Use the 12-8-2 at 1/2 tablespoon per gallon of water, and water as usual.
Use the 1-10-0, at 1/2 cup per plant, stirred into the top of your soil one week before you put them into flower, and again after two weeks of flower.
Or you can use bat guano if it's affordable. Just be sure to use the high N in veg, and the low N in flower.

sweet, thanks alot. I did spot bat guano out of the corner of my eye. I'll look out for the sea bird when I make my trip.
I should also mention that I have a bag of flowertone laying around that is 3-5-7, is this something that can be usefull for flower? I was thinking to much N and K
Also picked up some bone meal on my first grow and severly burned my plants with it once, they did come back around nicely, one was male anyway. I used a pinch of it to revegg my first(the one that got burned) and it seemed to work ok,wow do revegged plants look crazy.
That is all I have in my arsonal of nuts
Would any combination of these work with what was mentioned above?
Also, do you recommend regular foliar feeding? with Epsom salts ? with superthrive? or is it not very necessary?
Everything seemed dence and sticky without it, well I did it like twice with just water.

I think my post is a little confusing so im gonna just get to the point.
Thanks for the nut suggestions psteve, once I get them rolling I will follow that to the T
What do you do to seedlings that are stunned from heat/cold to get the going again. These little guys just don't seem as perky as my usual seedlings, I know it was temp fluctuation.
Forget my $$$ limmits.
If these were your seedlings and they have been sitting at 2 nodes for almost a month what would you do?(anything except toss em) :)
temps are fixed and steady :)

Repot into fresh soil, give a dose of H2O2 to stimulate the roots, then add some rootone, and mycorrhizae.

Sounds like a plan psteve
What products contain mycorrhizae?
