Government against weed as medicine

I use marijuana, but I guess I never thought of it as medicine. I have two incurable illnesses, Multiple Sclerosis and diabetes. That is the two biggies in my health record, now as I have lived with both illness for over 15 years, it has taken its toll on my health in many ways, high blood pressure, depression, my eyesight, along with many other small things people take for granted. I had smoked marijuana when I was young; growing up in California, but never really took a love for it. After I got sick, I started to smoke again, and it really makes me feel much better. When I did interferon and was sick as a dog, I could smoke some weed and at least sleep. I lost my job over this decision to smoke,:mad: and it really hurts. One day America will wake up.

I live with that fear, too. Fortunately, I'm a trusted employee and don't look like I use cannabis, so it is unlikely I will ever be tested.

Cannabis is useful in treating both diabetes and MS. It prevents diabetic neuropathy which is how we lose fingers, toes and legs. You might want to click the link in my sig and read about how useful cannabis is as a medicine! You'll be reading for hours! - Granny:hippy:

to convince Dad! It's not common knowledge (although it should be!) that cannabis can help with diabetes. Do a print up of the diabetes studies and show him! There's about a dozen of them in the link below. Nothing like seeing the facts in black and white! - Granny:hippy:

I know that the herb is what keeps me going, I can not for the life of me understand what my smoking herb in my home watching TV and playing on the computer have with crime??????????But if I had a prescription for morphine, well than that is Aok :stoned:

Well, after brain trauma, and no medicines given, I was sent home to live life. They deemed that NO MEDICINE would correct any of my injuries. They gave me a shower chair and an eyepatch, then sent me home. They knew the extent of my brain damage. If they had any medicine that would help, I would've received it.

Three days after I returned home, I found cannabis and my eyepatch was soon a thing of the past. I never used the shower chair. I never was given any medicine to regain feeling on my once-paralyzed right-side. Cannabis works for that.

A year and three months later, I went back to college and saw a doctor for my tinnitus. No medicine was given. I was left to keep it. Cannabis hides it. I can only imagine it, after I smoke.

And, then the Venture Van which gave me permanent pain. I gave legal medicine a try for a year, before my doctor took me off of the final two experimental medications.

I gave them chance after chance. I tried. They only screwed me up. I needed cannabis to save my life, once again. Am I the Devil?

For eight years, I limped on my right-side. It was noticeable, when I didn't smoke cannabis. Then, I limped on my left-side. Besides being noticeable, it hurt the hell out of me. It's gone when I smoke cannabis.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease for 6 years before I realized I could be a legal medical marijuana patient. I had quit my recreational use but most of my friends still use and I would joke with them that maybe I could get medical marijuana.

I didn't find out it actually has helped many other Crohn's patients with these symptoms until I had a bad reaction to some steroids prescribed by my doctor, (who never warned me about any of the possible side effects). It also has many preventable health benefits, has been shown to reduce cancerous tumors, perhaps even prevent, and is a great appetite stimulant.

More people should be doing research on this drug and taking legalization for medical, and recreational, more seriously. Being a legal medical patient has many wonderful benefits such as consistent quality, and specified strain per medical use. And if it weren't for the DEA terrorists, we would have more competition meaning lower price, and mass production offering high quality commercialized food products infused with cannabis.
