Guess What I Using HPS for seedlings

Hey guys. I've read in a lot of threads that HPS isn't used for seedlings until 2 weeks. Well, being the grey sheep of the crowd I decided to try and germinate under HPS! Success! 2 seeds have germinated, and I am about to find how well they cope under the high light intensity and heat.. Much cooling and an additional fan have been added to basically reduce the temperature of leaves to almost room-temp. Currently about 20 inches from the seedlings but will move closer later to avoid stretching (with lots of cooling!)

Anybody else tried this and had positive experiences? Disasters? :)

I use HPS for the entire grow. Only problem I had was when the 1000 watter was new I tended to either have it too far away (seedlings stretched) or too close (burned my babies).

400 watter no problems what-so-ever. ;)

ahh thats sweet man, thanks for the re assurance, See guys! You can use a HPS for seedlings.. now question is can I get sexy seedlings to overtake the now approximatly 16 or 17 day old veg's!
