What exactly should properly cured weed feel like?

Hey, I just picked up the dankest shit I have ever seen. It is absolutely beautiful. There are parts of it, I'd say maybe %20, where you can't see the plant because there are so many crystals. However, when I pulled it out, I thought it felt weird, at least compared to the mids I was used to. It steel feels wet like a plant. Maybe even slightly like rubber, too. It's weird. I'm not scared of it or anything, but since I am used to mids I can't really decide if it should be like that. Plus, it's good to know for when I grow in the summer! Woot! A lot of times, very dank bud has a naturally spongey feel to it- everytime I have gotten weed like that, it smokes great. You don't want it too dry, though. I like the texture and moistness of my weed at a low-medium.

not too moist and not too dry. when you hit it the bud should burn easily when the lighter touches but should not make the entire bowl start roasting. and some buds feel differently than others. thats all i got.

Spongy sounds a hair on the wet side. Leave the baggie open for an hour or so and then stick the herb in a air-tight glass jar. After a day, open it and see if the sponginess is back. It should feel dry to the touch, but not brittle.

I think the perfect way to test the moisture level is with a grinder. When weed is a tad bit on the wet side, nugs tend to have trouble grinding. They get stuck in the top part and won't fall through. When weed is perfect, it grinds up very fluffy, and grabbing it out of the compartment reminds me of grabbing a pinch out of a skoal can. When it's too dry, it powders up when you grind it. That's just my personal method.

when i have cured my buds ilet them dry until the stem snaps when bent. if it bends and dont snap, like when bending a straw, then i let it go a little longer

Anyway, anyone else ever get nugs that are fluffy and soft? That is super rare for me.

Just bowl up, it will last longer anyway because its so wet and sticky and your gonna get zooted if you smoke mids and u got them spongy nugs now
