New light!

Finally got my new 250w cfl, got it off ebay for £60. this thing is huge its twice the size of my hand, its a proper envirolite does any1 know how many lumens it gives off? its the red spec one, also the strain ive picked is lemon skunk i got 5 femd seeds does any1 have a good idea how long i should veg them for to get a decent yeild of about 3oz maybe 2 per plant?

You don't plan on using the Red Spec for Veg do you?:stoned:

just go to somewhere like walmart and pick up a pack of cfls. a three pack of 26 watters will give you another 300 watts in the spectrum you need. :thumbsup:

you would have to vegg a long time and lst to get 3 oz per plant, let alone 5 under a 250. i am sure it will be a nice light but dont let your expectations get too high. i've done 3 plants under a 150 and only gotten an oz and 1/2.

thanks mate, ive been looking more into it and i reckon al just veg till they are about 12" then flower and just see what happens. i was considering doing this, i have 2 lemon skunk and 3 lr2 seeds germed and soiled i was thinking of maybe leaving the lights on 18/6 until the lr is harvested and then flower the others that way it'll have been vegged for bout 2 months and hopefully get a good yeild. Heres a pic from the tent.

that sounds like a good plan. i dont want to discourage you either because different strains can also do different things. i am hoping for an oz a plant with 9 under a 400w, i doubt it though 1/2 an oz per would be satisfactory for me.

Doesnt matter really how much i end up with as long as i manage to get a nice smoke out of em, right now ive got 5 sprouts ( 2 ls and 3 lr2) al put some pics up once they come along a bit
