first time cloning what fuck did i do wrong should i start over
day 13 and they look like shit temp was good soaked rockwool ,rooting gel
8 hours ph 5.5 dome misted not leaves they looked good after 5 days and now well you be the judge my mother looks great had to tie down it was getting too tall
help please should i start over again
I would guess maybe too much light. Can you tell us more about your setup? What kind of light are the cuttings under and how close are they to it? It looks like they're eating themselves very quickly, which is why I say it looks like too much light; they're trying to grow and have very little ability to uptake nutrients so they self-cannibalize.
Are you misting the clones or the dome? If you mist the clones, you risk mold, fungus, and loss of nutrients.
You might also consider trimming the leaves. Cut the fingers all down to about an inch or so. This will help with moisture-loss and wilting.
thanks for the reply they are under a 40 watt warm bulb about a foot above dome i mist the dome about every 2 days added ph balanced water once in 13 days the light i didnt even think about
do you think i should start over, first time with rockwool too i also
wiped the dome down every 2 days and then sprayed dome

Sorry Cheapguy i dont have your answer. I have only cloned one time and in almost exact same setup as u. The reason i posted is b/c my clones eventually died, but befor they died they looked exactly like yours do, the ends and edges of the leafes were yellow like yours and they were all droopy like yours. I think too much light sounds like a very reasonable assumption. Next time i take cuttings im going the dome on top of my toilet and leave the ceiling light on in the bathroom. I had 2 cfl's about 1 foot away, and mine died in a total of about 6-7 days after being cut.
Lets figure this one out for the sake of our future cuttings:hippy:
Your clones are fine. They'll all have roots within 48 hours.
Just leave them alone right now - don't change anything you are doing.

i agree with pharmacan, i think they'll root up real nice. i've seen almost dead looking clones root up real well (usually after a couple extra days). Good luck and let us know how they're doing :thumbsup:

Perhaps I should not be so sarcastic....
Look, cheapguy, I only make a few hundred clones every month, so I suppose you should take what I say with a grain of salt. In one of your pics I can see what looks like the tiny tip of a root just starting to poke out. When that happens, the others aren't far behind and you will typically see roots within a couple days.
Ordinarily, I don't reply to posts where the writer is either to stupid or too narcissistic to punctuate his sentences. In this case I made an exception and a real short reply because I hated to see you throw away perfectly good clones. Anyway, there's lots of people who have tried once that are sure to come along and give you lots of advice. Enjoy!
