Help with germination temp.
Hi,
It is my first time growing and I have tried to grow bagseeds but with no luck at all. Though from what I have been reading, I interpreted warm as sitting next to the hot radiator in a tobacco tin (oh no!) this MUST be the reason they failed to germ which I only figured out this afternoon.
OK so I got 20 fresh seeds thought the post this morning and I immediately put them in the tin next to the radiator for four hours (not directly touching [estimate temp of tissue to be 96 F) until I figured this may be the reason the bagseeds were not germinating and moved them away to my bookshelf.
The question I'm wondering now is, do I bother to continue to germinate these (4) new seeds or do I start again? I am not sure, though where they are now, the tissue paper seems cold to the touch.. Not at all sure what to do can someone give me advice asap I've wasted a whole week trying to germinate the bagseeds already. :(

the best way i have found to germinate seeds is to put them in a good moist paper towel and stick them in a ziplock bag and close. put the bag on top of the fridge or in a warm place that holds a temp of around 80 degrees (i personally use my battery backup for my pc). check on them 1 time a day to let fresh air in and to check to see if they cracked open. when folding the paper towel back be carefull cause if the codeleden/root is out you can damage if you are rough
i would give those 1 more shot and if they dont work get more

Well in any case my new seeds are starting to pop so I will be potting them in about 12 more hours. :)
I guess the bagseeds were duds or were exposed to too much heat.
