Rate my first grow/ Time for harvest?

Hey this is my first ever grow that made it to the flowering stage! all the others ether got sprayed with chemicals by black helicopters or eaten by animals.

anyway i gotta tell the story behind this bud, i was getting this red to pinkish stuff for 280 - 320 an ounce for the longest time and never a seed in it. sometimes it was just beasters, sometimes whoever was growing it grew it really well and it was basically a pink rock of crystals, but it was always the same strain. it was called "grandmas house", yeh i know, weirdest name on earth. it was a pretty decent deal id say. it was VERY dense and had a medium fruity sweet smell, and a very smooth sweet smoke. it was honestly better than some of the bud iv payed 400+ for. anyway one day i pick up an ounce and its the frostiest iv ever seen it. a few days later i find about 6 seeds in the finest nugget in the bag. i was elated.

i shoveled some compost mixed with dirt from my backyard and put it in a pots and let one of them grow in my window. this was around august, yeh i know im stupid. it grow decent but only got a few hours of direct sunlight a day. it didnt grow more than a foot tall in maybe 2 months. so around this time i actually start looking up how to properly take care of this plant and buy 3 double 48" t8 fixtures and put it in veg inside. it stays in veg like that for a month then i put it in a 2 gallon pot with a proper moss, topsoil, perlite, and vermiculite mix and start 12/12 with a 400w hps. the growing conditions are less than ideal to say the least. this plant got under watered, scorched, improperly fed, and messed with almost every day untill i figured out how to keep my grow space cool enough. it had good conditions most of flowering at least. the worst it got was up to about 90 one day, but most of the time i had it at 80. it was very dry, about 40% humidity average. i know i need a humidifier. i had good airflow. i used quick start when i got the t8's and i used super bloom twice so far during flowering.

its been about a month and a half since i started 12/12 and it seems like im already getting nearly 50% die-back on some nugs (its hard to see the died-back ones in the pics) and most of the tricomes seem milky. could this be because its stunted and needed less time to finish because its smaller? the buds are smaller and a little less dense than the commercial version i was paying retail for, but other than that its pretty much the same. the plant only got about 1.75 feet tall, ha. i know its cause it got stunted when i started it.

tell me what you think of my first grow, especially how to get the buds bigger next time. im going to ether try another seed or regenerate this one. This should be a lesson that even if all you have is half decent bag seed and a cheap HID lamp, a few fans, basic plant growing know how, and a desire youll be able to grow some dank nugglettes and smoke for free!

Couple things, the pics look like you've got 3 weeks to harvest or so, but you say mostly milky? Wait until just a bit amber before chopping.

40% humidity is good, keep it there.

Read up on the basic grow instructions- for example the one linked in my signature. Getting a first grow to even SURVIVE to harvest is already a good accomplishment. Now we work on your technique, MWAHAHAHA!!! :jointsmile:

If you plan to re-veg, take only the prime buds and leave as much leaf as possible on each plant. Put them under intense 24 hour a day cool lwhite flouro light and feed with superthrive at one drop per gallon. Don't overwater during this time. The plant will use water slowly since it's got little leaf area left. When it revegges, take cuttings off her. Don't take ALL the available shoots, because it's common to kill your first batch of clones.
